Vintage Sterling Silver Peace Dove Necklace Long ago, in a small village near San Miguel Allende, lived a kind woman who, through her peaceful ways and by example, became known throughout the towns of central Mexico as 'Senora Paz,' which literally means 'Mrs. Peace'. Some years later a talented Mexican silversmith from Taxco created this limited edition sterling silver 'Paloma de Paz' or Peace Dove design to honor the wisdom of making peace. Only a few dozen of this design were created back in the late 1980's. Only two silver peace dove necklaces exist from the original 'flock.' These Palomas de Paz are vintage and have been gently stored. Although these have not been worn they have a lovely older appearance which is attributed to the warm .925 sterling silver patina. The Peace Dove hangs on a 26 inch silversmith handmade baht chain. The silver dove is a nice weight and very comfortable to wear. Total necklace length is 30 inches.
